What is a Special Interest Group

Many of the people in this Ds community are
generally into bondage, Ds or SM – but some
have more specialized interests. Special
Interest Groups (SIG’s) cater to people with
specific interests that may not be of
interest to the Ds community at large – or
who may wish to hold discussions internally.

There are three SIG’s that we know of in the
Pittsburgh area. One is for The Next
Generation of kinksters, and is open only to
people who are 18-35. Another is for people
whose main interest is in spanking, which is
a sub-fetish with its own set of rules. The
third one is for people who do
age-regression, and who as adults take on
the characteristics of children or babies.

SIG’s by their very nature necessarily
exclude people who don’t fit. This means
that if one of these kinks fits you, there
is a sub group comprised of people just like
you – who may have faced fetish problems
just like you – or who may provide a view
that you’ve been looking for. They meet in
their own space, as it were, to help their
members gain a better sense of themselves in
this context. |
